Switch assembly, rotary enclosed, 30 Amp, 500 V, TPST, SBM-15. Consists of a 30 Amp 500 VAC rotary switch with 3 decks, each having on-off-on-off switching characteristics mounted in a 5" round (nominal) brass enclosure per MIL-E-24142/5. The switch is mounted to the box which has a gasketed cover. It is operated by an actuator assembly that is sealed by a gland on the cover that provides watertight integrity to a depth of 15 feet. Electrical connections are made directly to the switch contacts which are provided with #10 screws. This item is manufactured in accordance with MIL-DTL-15743/8 and Comsaco Drawing 404-851. The military part number is M15743/8-003 and it is designated as a Type 3SR3A4-2. NSN 5930-00-296-7318 or 5930-01-245-9532.
